Named after
our own menu
Most restaurants pick a name and hope you remember it. We took the two things we cook best and mashed them into one word.
Bánh mì — the crackly Vietnamese baguette sandwich.
Gà rán — Vietnamese-style fried chicken.
Put the front of each together and you get our name. It's a portmanteau you can eat.
On Richmond Row since 2024
We opened our doors at 551 Richmond St, Unit 4 in the heart of downtown London's Richmond Row — the strip of patios, shops and late-night foot traffic that runs north from Dundas. It's a 10-minute walk from Fanshawe's downtown campus and an easy stop between class, work and the walk home.
Banh mi, fried chicken wings, fresh rolls, rice & noodle boxes, plus a full bar of milk tea, fruit tea and Vietnamese coffee.
Students grabbing lunch, downtown workers, and Richmond Row on a Friday night. Fast, cheap-ish, and it travels well.
